After winning the talent show "Pop Idol" in 2002, she released her debut album "Silje" in 2003, which sold more than 1.2 million copies in Norway and was certified platinum. Jensen has won two MTV Europe Music Awards, one for Best Norwegian Act and one for Best Song in 2004. In 2005, she released her second album "Silje 2", which received Silver status in Norway
